Marcus concentrated on euphonium in high school and college and later in life started playing trombone and tuba.  He began playing as a substitute tuba with the Vintage Brass in 2012.  He currently performs on the trombone and/or tuba with Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre, Valley Dance Theatre, Livermore-Amador Symphony, Pleasanton Community Concert Band, and the Our Savior Lutheran brass ensemble.
